adonis demystified: the 10 most handsome faces ever!
73Beauty is not an exclusive right of women, it swings both ways. Yes, men can be beautiful, too. Just ask your sister if this notion doesn't sit well with you. So in the spirit of fair play and equality among genders, my friends (a very opinionated and vocal lot) and I rounded up all the pretty boys in Hollywood and came up with the crème de la crème. Ten men who will be remembered (if not for their talent) for their faces by our beauty-obsessed culture.

The Great Profile
Arguably the first male pop icon and sex symbol whose death caused so much hysteria that impersonators were said to have been hired to impersonate Fascist Blackshirt guards.

Hi, Chris A.-Delon rates up there on my list. But no Patrick Dempsey or Hugh Jackman? :) I tend to like guys who are handsome but have a bit of character and ruggedness in their faces. All so much taste!
I've actually become impressed with Antonio Banderas as an actor-- Some of his less well known films are excellent.
I have often told a man he is "beautiful," and after the initial surprise, each has seemed pleased.
Good hub!
Interesting how faces look in black and white photos -- I'm glad you chose to present them all in b and w. No wonder people used to think that the eyes were the portals for love -- that one actually fell for someone "through" the eyes. . . I can remember in my early teens seeing Paul Newman in Sweet Bird of Youth, and thinking that he was the most beautiful man I had ever seen. Until Brad Pitt "did" Thelma and Louise, that is. These are all beautiful men, and thanks -- I don't know who Zac Ephron is, but will look for him!

Hey Cris! Nice listing glad you included Brad, I'm a great fan, I was hoping to get a glimpse of him in Hollywood, but well, no luck. Have you seen The Curious Case of Benjamin Button? Brad has classic shots there, Angie is one lucky girl :(
Valentino, Cary Grant and Antonio Banderas are THE men! Great list, now i'm going to have to check the ladies out! :-)
AAAAAAAAAhh (how can you spell a long drawnout sigh) Paul Newman eyes... Great list Cris. You know who else could fit into this list of yours Yul Brenner. He had all the classic features associated with a beautiful face...
Great pictures too in your hub
regards Zsuzsy
Nice list Cris. Although I don't like your scruffy photo selection of Brad.
Cris! You know how to pick 'em - THANK-YOU! for this lovely eye-candy.
Umm, I notice that Mel Gibson's eyes and all of Hugh Jackman are two missing elements in your line up. An oversight, I'm sure. Oh! and what about George Clooney. 'K, call me greedy!
I LIKE the scruffy Brad!
Really nice hub, Cris! :)
Thanks, Cris!! This is the best present, ever! Wow, what a great reward! Gee, which one will I talk to first? ;)
Still am busy, just ditched work for awhile to feed my hubaholism. I was suffering withdrawal like crazy!
Wanted to drop by and say 'hello' and 'remember me?'
Thanks again for this wonderful! gift. You're still a sweetie!!
:) Talk seemed the most 'family friendly' way to put it. ;)
You deserve a halo for this selfless act!
Wow!! What a list and what great taste. Handsome to sexy absolutely wonderful.:)
Omg that was really hot, I can feel my cheeks burning. Especially in black and white. Excuse me while I grab a strong Bourbon.
Blondepoet, I know what you are saying, my palms are hot and I had to take my Chicago Cubs sweatshirt off (I'm wearing a tank for you "perves" out there =) Whew! What great pictures! All I could think was "How can I get all the ladies to see this?" I have never linked an articel to an email before, but I have to send this to my sister AND my mother-in-law!
From your list I'd choose Paul Newman but I'd really appreciate if if you would send Viggo Mortensen by return. He turns my pages !
Looking at your list Chris, I was wondering what it was that makes these guys so sexy, and for me at least, it's the voices as well as the looks. Cary Grant has an instantly recognizable voice, deep and mellow, and reassuring. Antonio Banderas has one of the sexiest accents ever, and Jude Law has that classy Englishman thing going. I'd also like to add in Mel Gibson, and Bruce Willis, as I have a soft spot for cheeky bad boys (well, on celluloid if not in real life LOL!)
Aaah, Cary Grant . . . sigh.
You have them all covered ; from cute to tough.
Delon will rule my heart forever though *sighs*
Good good. Good Hub :D
oooh Cary Grant was truly truly gorgeous, Luv Jude Law too!!
Where the hell is Ralph Nader? LYM! :)
ooooo... I absolutely LOVE Paul Newman!! He is the epitome of male adonis for me. The others aren't bad, though I ve never quite understood the whole Zac Efron appeal.... Great job as always :)
What ??? Hugh Jackman is not in list !!!!!!
it's a poor politically correct list, glad to see delon there though
Cary is still one of the most beautiful men EVER born! Flanker. . .Hugh Jackman makes MY list. Got to be one of the most handsome alive today!
God !! zac efron really looks good !
nice to see you added Will Smith, closet racist.
I cannot take this list seriously as the "Prince of the Golden Age" isn't mentioned: Tony Curtis.
I mean, please people, a couple of these simply should not be on there.
Good list, especially Alain and Cary...Where is Sean Connery and Johnny Depp..? Inquiring minds want to know...And my Telly, pop-tart and all..?...Larry
Cris you have my permission to use a picture of mine for the hub here ! :D
where's marlon brando?
where's james dean?
where's jensen ackles?
I agree with your list. Especially about Zac Efron begin the heir apparent. I did an entire hub about why he has an Adonis Factor.
Tony Curtis - American Prince
The most handsome man 1950 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love your choices, although Zac is not my taste..
I would only add yum -yum Simon Baker [Mentalist] and Hugh Jackman. the b&w just adds to the class, beautiful pics.
aha,,ok
where is my man Marlon Brando or James Dean? Those guys are gorgeous.
I recognise you guys don't watch much old movies. But please, there were so much better looking men around in the 40s' and 50s'.
I'll just mention Robert Taylor, Rock Hudson and Elvis Presley. Check out their B&W photos and tell me I am wrong!
Where is James Dean? He is the ultimate pretty face. Marlon Brando is pretty cute too.
You missed the James Dean glossy eyes.
very beautiful men...Newman, Peck, Delon and Redford are mine - but you lost me at Brad Pitt - he's no looker.
STUPID LIST. GIVE ME A BREAK, WILL SMITH? WHAT A JOKE!!!!
A LOT OF ACTORS ARE A LOT HANDSOMER THAN THIS STUPID LIST.

I saw Alain Delon in a television re-run once, just that one time and I still recall his beauty up until now!
