Not Jerilee Wei
No, the lady in the water in the above image is not Ms Wei. On second thought, she could be imagined as a creature in a similar landscape. For Ms Wei is a champion of nature - if you want proof check her profile and hubs here. She hubs, among many other things, about plants, trees, flowers, animals - really anything and everything 'nature' making her, at least in my humble opinion, a wonder of the natural world.
This hub came about after I decided to send to retirement camp my uh, dalliances with PhotoShop for the time being. First, I believe my muses of the visual variety have strayed too far the last time and they have yet to return. And second, I can't devote much time procreating with a software when a) I need to work b) I'm short on dead bodies in mafiawars c) my farm in FB has just broken ground and needs my undivided attention d) I got me a PS3 and I'm a latent gamer apparently.
So where does Jerilee enter the picture?
In her hub caled Flowerless Plants, which is a great read as usual, I mentioned in my comment that in relation to her topic...wait I'll just copy and paste the whole thing:
I said:
"This hub is amazing! I just finished watching The Blue Planet series by BBC on the natural history of the oceans - all 5 discs! haha - and I now know that the flowerless phytoplanktons are responsible for much of the oxygen present in the Earth's atmosphere, accounting for at least half of the total amount produced by all plant life including, yes, flowering plants.
Great read as usual Jerilee. And aside from its scientific significance, it tells us that maybe, just maybe, we must rethink our concept of beauty or at least not, pardon the cliche, judge a book by its cover."
She said:
"Thanks Cris A! I'll have to get a copy of that series. My kind of stuff and you are so right about our concept of beauty. Speaking of that, I loved your women in art series and was wondering when I wrote this, what you could do with photoshop and the beautiful mysteries of the sea."
So there! And so this hub!
And oh this is dedicated to Jerilee.

Dagnabbit! I loved the second-to-last one the most! That should be made into a poster! It's definitely one that would be popular in many a college-dormitory (I hope you accept that as a compliment!).
Give up/retire Photoshop??? Don't make me introduce you to Mr. Katana!
omg - bee-yoo-ti-ful! I'm so glad Jerilee inspired you to seek out beauty in the watery depths.
Give up Photoshop? Don't you dare! Yes, Dohn, he deserves a Katana dose if he does :D
See you in FV :)
Ny nightcap is here again! :) I was smiling and oh'ng and ah'ng as I always enjoy your creations, they are great! I am so glad you are not giving up your muse, it would be our loss. I don't think there is ever an end to creativity, thank God.
Awesome pics!No words to describe the creativity of these pics..Now..I'm wondering whether I should take a break from FV and ahem..test the waters of Photoshop!:)
Oh yes, BeAuTiFuL! Your creations are like candy to the eyes and as usual, taking in each on it's own has a poetic story to be seen.. Ahem.. you'd definitely be hunted down, if you shyed away from photoshop.. not so aren't anyway! LOL
My only suggestion would be to work on your trigger finger ;)
How nice that such friendships can be formed online, I say ...:-)
Beautiful pictures Cris. The second to the last one is really something! But hmmm, maybe it's the election fever in me but I like the shark over the city pic. Wonder why (hehe).
beautiful, Cris, as always
My fav was the shark swimming down the street. Very creative cool hub!
Oooooooo! I like the girl with fish for hair. I wish, I wish, I wish I were a fish.
Wow! I am so humbled. The girl with the fish for hair was so appropriate to my granddaughter's interpretation of reading C. S. Lewis' The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, I can hardly wait till she gets home from school to show her.
While I'm sure that Photoshop is a tempting seductress, married with your poetic eye and poetry -- it doesn't get any better than that for all of your readers.
I don't know what to say other than I hope I can keep on inspiring you.
Haha, nice hub. :) Enjoyed it. Great pics.
That awesome-hubber-jerilee wei made me so proud to be her MOM as many of you know. She also keeps me motivated and funny she is now teaching me so many things with her talented mind.
SPEAKING of talent "young-un" you have it too with your vision of putting words into Photos. It was you my friend that made me learn photoshop so don't even think of retiring photoshop or you will have this MOTHER and many more smaking you silly.
P.S. The second to the last photo does resemble Jerilee. LYL
Wow.. this is pretty fantastic! And you did this with photoshop? I didnt think it possible! I think I am missing out on something here!
Thanks for a great hub! x
lovely, you are a great communicater, always uniting hubbers, the pictures are awesome.,
Hi Cris A, Dohn told me about your work. And I agree with what he said. wahhh you are brilliant. The photo are really special. Thank you very much for this lovely journey. And I will say thank you also to Dohn.:) I dont go to forum, so I dont know many hubbers. I am glad to be a fan.:) Bless you.
I'm with Feline - never, ever!!
Beautiful work!
Cris, this is the first hub I'm reading after my operation. Still on complete rest as advised by the doctor.
I'm still on sick leave so I'm absent from the hub circle. I'm thinking of writing a hub about my present experience when I,m back to my normal health.
As always, this is an amazing hub!
Jerilee is awsome! Loved your shark-in-the-city image!
Lovely, lovely pics...terrific, all the way. Thank you, Cris.
Wow! This is so beautiful! Really perfect for Jerilee! I like the 2nd to the last photo too.
Cris, please don't abandon Photoshop yet. Not when I'm trying to muster enough courage to ask you to help me with PS, please!!! You create simply beautiful images, I wish I have even just 1/10th of your talent!
All the best!
Dude those pictures are awesome ! Cris your work never ceases to amaze me.
Cris -- just see what DOhn wrote above. . he already took the words off of my brain (as usual) and of course he beat me here so . . yes yes shari is late again;) and seriously Dohn says it how I see it and his words are so much more better than mine;)
thumbs up . .I am printing that picture out and framing it for my desk area if that is ok with you ?
xoxox

What great Hub and what incredible shots. I feel a little in awe. Thanks for sharing.
Hmmm...Thank you for the offer :) Maybe I will write some poetry with them... or maybe I have. haha :)
Sorry, but because I am just a poor ignorant peasant from Cyprus, I have to ask: Did you actually create these images yourself?
Cris, I am an ignoramus and I do not know how photoshop works or even what "wallpaper" is, but I would would LOVE one of these wonderful immages. I am green with envy (the nice type) ... :D
That face amongst the fish would be nice :-)
I have no idea what it is all about, but please go ahead and make me one to see. :-)
These are incredible, Ocean creatures meeting humanity in a very artistic pleasent way.
I missed this Hub! I like first and lost photo the best and I always like you! .. and of course, Jerilee Wei!
